THE FLOWCON GROUP

The Beginning

In 1994, visionary Danish inventor Bjarne Ibsen pioneered the Pressure-Independent Control Valve (PICV) concept, introducing the world's first PICV, FlowCon.

This groundbreaking innovation laid the foundation for establishing FlowCon International ApS in 1998, embodying the company's pioneering spirit.

Growth and Expansion

FlowCon International has since evolved into a globally operating group renowned for its unwavering commitment to innovation, technical expertise, and social responsibility. Its technological advancements have significantly created healthier and more sustainable environments worldwide.

Strategic Partnerships

Griswold Controls LLC

In 2014, FlowCon International merged with the American company Griswold Controls LLC, founded in 1960.

This strategic decision aimed to combine expertise, develop pressure-independent products, and expand into new markets.

The cooperation ensured global recognition and a strong market position for dynamic balancing and pressure-independent control valve manufacturers in HVAC, plumbing, and many other applications.

Griswold Controls' rich history and technical expertise have significantly contributed to FlowCon International's ability to deliver new innovative and reliable solutions worldwide.

Later, in 2018, FlowCon International ApS acquired Griswold Controls LLC.

FlowCon IVC

Also, in 2014, FlowCon IVC was founded to provide static valves and accessories to respond to stakeholder demand. Many stakeholders requested a single source for dynamic and static valves and necessary accessories to complete HVAC, plumbing, or other application projects.

This integrated approach allowed us to broaden our offerings and cater to a broader range of customer needs, simplified procurement, reduced logistical complexities, and ensured compatibility across systems.

FloControl Ltd

In 2022, FlowCon Group acquired FloControl Ltd, a company established in 2009 to supply hydronic valve and pipeline products. FloControl specializes in providing superior indoor climate solutions and offers valve assemblies, smart energy valves, energy-efficient dynamic valves, and various general and domestic valves. Their expertise in the UK market has further strengthened the FlowCon Group's market position and product portfolio.

FlowCon's strategic decision to pursue continuous growth has strengthened the group's global positioning and presence, gaining a competitive edge in the industry.

Combining resources and capabilities has led to greater operational efficiencies, cost savings, and improved productivity in the Group's overall business. It has opened new revenue channels, contributing to the group's overall financial growth and stability. It has also given us access to innovative technologies and expertise, driving our commitment to continuous improvement and cutting-edge solutions.

Today, the FlowCon Group offers a diverse range of solutions.

With over half a century of experience, we are uniquely positioned to develop comprehensive solutions tailored to any application and requirement. Our innovative approaches to the most challenging environments enhance productivity and safety, setting us apart in the industry.

FlowCon has the largest installed base of dynamic pressure-independent valves, with more than 10 million valves in operation across over 60 countries.

Our global footprint attests to our unwavering commitment to serving customers worldwide.

We are always within reach with our head office strategically located in Slagelse, Denmark, and primary production facilities in Denmark and the USA. Our sales offices in key markets such as Singapore, UAE, China, and the United Kingdom further reinforce our dedication to our customers.

New expansions are ongoing, and new employees are regularly recruited. These expansions will double the available space for various logistic activities and include facilities for product development, offices, and assembly process automation.

At FlowCon, we continue to focus on developing existing and new products while expanding our current product range to offer a variety of solutions.
